Boost Your Immune System

It’s that time of the year again when sore throats and runny noses make their appearance. This year, fight back winter viruses with some simple yet effective techniques. Here’s the first one.

Juice It!

Dust that juicer, chop some dark and leafy vegetables such as beets, spinach, carrots, red apples and kale and start juicing. Enhance your immune system with these rich dietary sources of antioxidants and naturally occurring nitrates.
Here is a quick recipe for a delicious, immunity boosting juice.

Serves 2

2 medium beets washed and chopped in big chunks
2 medium carrots washed and chopped in big chunks
1 Red Delicious apple, cored
1 thumb sized piece of ginger

Set juicer to setting for hard vegetables and start juicing in no particular order.
Enjoy and stay cold and cough free!
